SUNDAY POKER LEAGUE

The 2024-2025 Sunday Poker League (SPL) will meet one Sunday a month, plus one extra Sunday in each quarter: August 2024-July 2025. Each event will be run as a separate tournament. Ten percent of the field will be paid. The top three league point holders at the end of the SPL 2024-2025 season will be awarded additional money after the final tournament: $800 / $300 / $100, respectively.  Point standings will be updated/posted after the end of each quarter on the "SPL Standings" page. 

 

Here's how it will work...

Buy-ins for each event will be $100, and players will get 30,000 in chips. Players will be allowed one re-buy for $100 up to the end of the 8th round.  Players will receive 30,000  in chips with each re-buy and will earn 3/4 the points for those who place. There will be a one-time $20 registration fee at the start of the year to cover the cost of shirts, cards and the food for the end-of-year party. Blinds will be 20 minutes long. The High-Hand pool is included in the Buy-in and will be equal to $10 per buy-in. Each regularly-scheduled event (monthly or quarterly) pays 10% of the field.

Each event, $250 from the monies collected will be set aside for the League fund and COP Free Roll.

Point structure: 

Each player will get one point for each event played in the year. Players may have substitutes play for them, but not for more than four times per year. If no substitute is used, the player will get zero points for any absences. There will be an extra "second chance" tournament in each quarter, which all players can use to replace their lowest point score earned in that quarter.  Also, the top ten placers for each tournament will get the following:
